·         Stacy began training dogs in 2002 while attending Animal Behavior College. After graduating from ABC, she began working not just in group dog training sessions but in private, in-home sessions with rescue dogs and dogs from poor home environments. In this, she assisted many families in rehoming dangerous dogs and training dogs that had been given up on by their owners and other caretakers.

·         In 2003, Stacy attended the Association of Pet Dog Trainers’ 5-day conference in Orlando, Florida, earning every continuing education unit available. In 2006, Stacy began her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a focus on conditioning and learning. With the pressure of working with dogs with severe aggression and behavioral disorders, Stacy began studying more about how the canine brain functions, not just conditioning and learning, but biological and neurological processes that cause behavior disorders. In 2007, Stacy enrolled in the Companion Animal Science Institute's 4-year Diploma program in Canine Behavior, Science and Technology (Dip. CBST) to complement her Bachelor’s degree focus in the field of canine behavior.

CBCC-KA ~ MS Psychology

In 2012, Stacy successfully passed the Certification Council for Pet Dog Trainers ’ (CCPDT) most prestigious exam, the CBCC-KA, Certified Behavior Consultant Canine - Knowledge Assessed exam. As well as graduating with her Master's in Science in Psychology, the very same year. The CCPDT requires the certificate holder to renew their certification every 5 years; renewal requires earning continuing education credits during the 5-year period between renewals. Stacy has successfully completed all continuing education credits in all renewal periods and has a current Certificate certifying her as a Canine Behavior Consultant. Stacy is also a published author of The Goldendoodle (2009) and has written several excerpts for books for the APDT. Stacy has also been chosen multiple times to participate in CBCC-KA exam question editing through PTC for the CCPDT's behavior consultant exam. Stacy collaborated with RIT students to create a training app, sniffy-app.com, to help owners train their dogs. In 2017 & 2018, Stacy assisted a PhD student in genetics at Cornell University, New York, with a study on Goldendoodles, specifically the F1 generation, to determine how males and females differ genetically and the likelihood of genetic diseases.
